Isaiah 50:11 says, “Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.” As I watched the fireworks again this year on the 4th […]

Psalm 71:9 says, “Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.” I love the Gaither song, “Plenty of Room in the Family.” The phrases, “room for the young and the old” and “plenty of love to go round” paint a picture of how the church ought

II Chronicles 34:2 says, “And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.” Horace Greeley is attributed as the first to say, “Go west, young man.” Whoever said it first doesn’t

Isaiah 6:5 states, “Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. What exactly does it mean to be undone? Adam Clarke says
