I hope you enjoyed The \u201cI\u201d Witness<\/em>. If you have lived very long, you have likely been spared from accidental death also. I pray you realize that it wasn\u2019t luck that saved you. In these days of Covid, death has come into many homes. Accidental death, death from sickness, or death in any other way is still death. The fact is, we are all going to die sooner or later. Many Christians hope that they will be raptured before they die, myself being one. However, there are some things about the rapture that are troubling. In I Thessalonians 4:13-18, we have a picture of the rapture that many are familiar with. This picture is meant to comfort us (v. 18). In verse sixteen it says that the dead in Christ will come out of the graves and rise into the sky. If you happen to be near a cemetery and see this, it will be like nothing you have ever seen. It will not be a quiet event. The Lord Himself will shout! The archangel will speak. The trumpet of God will be heard around the world. Think of it\u2014how loud will that be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hang on, because next we will rise up into the clouds to be with them. It says we will be caught up. How is that going to work? Are you afraid of heights? This could be the near-accidental death of all time. There is one thing that brings comfort to me in all this. In I Corinthians 15, Paul speaks of this as a great victory (v. 54). He says in verse 52 that we will be quickly \u201cchanged.\u201d It will happen so fast, we will not have time to panic. God does not intend to terrify us, but to transform us. For those that are, \u201cin Christ,\u201d this will be the end of near-death experiences forever! For those that are not \u201cin Christ,\u201d their feet will remain on the ground. It might seem safe, but not for long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people will die. If you happen to be in the crowd, you will also be resurrected from the grave. You will be taken from the grave to face judgment before God. The verdict will be \u201cguilty!\u201d You will be sorry then that your name was not written in the Lamb\u2019s (Jesus\u2019) Book of Life. Your worst nightmare will come true. As you stand before God and they search for your name (Revelation 20:11-15), and you see the Lake of Fire ahead, you will remember when you had a chance to make Jesus your Saviour. For some reason, you chose not to then. All your crying out to Jesus will be to no avail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wonderful news is that you are not standing there today. You don\u2019t ever have to stand in that situation. Today is not the day of judgment\u2014it is the day of salvation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have read The \u201cI\u201d Witness<\/em>, and are now reading this, I believe you want Jesus to be your Saviour. As a jury member, you voted that God was guilty of intervening in the life of Larry Coleman to save him from accidental death. Good choice! Now I\u2019m asking you to make another good choice. Ask Jesus to intervene in your life right now to save you from certain everlasting death. The fact is that Jesus became guilty for you, to stand in your place at the judgment and read your name from His Book of Life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believe on Him\u2014not just that He exists; most people know that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believe that He died for your sins.\nConfess your sins to Him.\nAsk Him to forgive you.\nTurn away from your sins, and start walking with Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
