Psalm 27:7-9a says, “Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice; have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face: my heart said unto thee, Thy face Lord will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me…” Somewhere I heard tell of a little boy in Sunday […]

I Kings 20:28 states, “And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, Therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand,

I Kings 17:1 states, “And Elijah the Tishbite…” Today, not out of disrespect, I would like to call Elijah “Mr. T” because he was from Tishbeh in the land of Gilead. Also, I am respectfully calling President Donald Trump “Mr. T.” Tomorrow is election day in our country. It is also Tuesday or “T” day.

I Kings 11:36 states, “And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.” Twenty-eight years ago, November 19, 1996, an inch and a half of freezing rain fell on Spokane,

I Samuel 17:10 says, “And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day: give me a man, that we may fight together.” Goliath, being over nine feet tall, was easy to see on the battlefield. For forty days, he called this challenge out to the army of Israel. Saul and his men

Luke 6:23 says, “Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.” Leaping for joy demonstrates faith. The night can be dark and long, but in the morning light, things look much different. The present darkness

Matthew 5:6 states, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” The tragic event of the Donner Party starving in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the winter of 1846-1847 is a picture of how hungry people can get. They not only ate anything leather, including their shoes, but
